Bittersweet Quilt Shop sets itself apart with their attention to detail. Tina Bauer, the owner, noticed this abandoned church and with a stroke of luck was able to purchase and upgrade the building to become a beautiful place to shop.
Though the footprint isn’t all that big, she makes the most of it when little enclaves created with antiques and clever arrangement. You can find all the Tilda fabrics, tons of wool embroidery supplies, dozens of panels, every color of solid you might want, plus cheater cloth, Tula Pink fabrics, ByAnnie supplies, and a few Singer Featherweights (and everything you need to keep yours in tip-top shape).
The basement classroom has been decorated with more antiques and vintage quilts. Each class starts with coffee and homemade breakfast options in the kitchen area. It’s the perfect way to kick off a long workshop day! Then mid-day, they’ll serve a homemade lunch and everyone gathers together to eat, relax and get to know each other as a group.
There are lots of tables for machines with more large cutting tables for projects, large and small. Nearby bathrooms and a back door with easy access for bringing in sewing machines and tools.
