Quilt Coats for the Littles

It didn’t take long after releasing the Elemental Coat pattern for y’all to start asking for a child-sized version. And now it’s finally here–the Elemental Kids Coat pattern, a quilt coat pattern for sizes Toddler to Teen.

Child's quilt coat displayed on a mannequin and surrounded by bright colors.

The Elemental Kids Coat is everything you loved about the adult Elemental Coat—shrunk down and just as quilter-friendly.

I designed it so you can:

  • Use quilted yardage or upcycled quilts (no apparel sewing experience required)
  • Use denim, corduroy, or canvas (no quilting or piecing required)
  • Make sizes from toddler to tween—because they grow, faster than we want
  • Sew it your way with patchwork, solids, or your favorite prints
  • Match your own Elemental Coat for adorable photo ops (and maximum bragging rights)

Choose from a hood or collar, full length or jacket length and whether or not you want to add pockets. There are so many options and I can’t wait to see what you make with this new Elemental Kids Coat pattern (available as a PDF or printed pattern).

Happy sewing!

P.S. If you want to learn how to make this coat (or the adult version) with me, please join me for a FREE info session on Sept 14 and the two-day workshop on Sept 26 & 27.
