Thanks & WOW

It was a normal day, with a few sales coming in at Crinkle Dreams, then as the morning went on, the sales started coming in at a pretty good clip. By noon, I’d sold as many Elemental Coat patterns as I did in a week. And then thing went crazy, all because of Tami of Hometown Quilt Company!

Folks clamored and we scrambled! As fast as y’all were placing orders with me, I was placing orders with the print shops. I need more patterns & more booklets as fast as I can get them, but I’ve been waiting impatiently for things to arrive. That old adage of “Not my circus; not my monkeys” came to mind as printers told me it would take a week or so and there was nothing they could do about it.

Thankfully we had a decent number of patterns in stock, but it became apparent pretty quickly that fulfillment was gonna take a hot minute and a backorder notice had to go up on the site.

What a week it’s been! Between packing, shipping and ordering, it’s been absolutely crazy–thankfully Hawke has been around to help out immensely, and Audrey has taken over pattern packing nearly full-time.

I started the week feeling frustrated by the slow sales, then ended the week overwhelmed with managing print orders, shipping to and from the office, packing patterns, and answering buyers questions.

I can’t complain though… a week ago, I was starting to wonder if I should just give up on this little biz. Thanks to Tami and everyone who has bought a pattern and supported my little Crinkle Dreams, I’m feeling like this might just be doable.

Now, I gotta get back to packing patterns!
