Life is an adventure, for sure, and I add in a bit of teaching, a lot of making and a growing community to make it the best I can. Let me share it with you, too.

Hawke has been working like crazy in painting, reorganizing, building furniture, etc for the new filming studio and I am so excited! So many plans for the year—tutorials, workshops, lives—all coming up soon. On this International Women’s Day, I’d like to introduce you to my Aunt Diana. She has influenced me and my perspective on Independence more than she could know. She travelled the world, bringing back trinkets from her trips to Europe, Egypt, Mexico. She accompanied me (and mom and sisters) on our first international trip to Canada when I was 16. She showed me that women can be strong, career-minded, independent, curious and travel as much as they want to. This week, she drove herself up from Sacramento to celebrate my dad/her brother’s birthday with us. She has the best stories of adventures. She inspires me to keep exploring, learning and doing more. I’m so grateful to have spent so much time with her for so many summers; it changed me in all the right ways. We’re doing Illinois this week and I’m tickled pink that I found this little Lincoln on some old @alexanderhenryfabrics (🙏🏻RIP) to use for the center of my log cabin. 😍#quartermillennialquilt 🪡 Not sure what this squirrel is eating at the cemetery, but he’s certainly not going hungry. Four days of classes at @sewexpo and every one sold out 😳 I had such a great time with everyone, but honestly so glad to be home for a couple weeks! It’s Thursday, so there are new states for the Quarter Millennial Quilt. We’re also in Puyallup, so the local Starbucks was our office. 🤣 This week it’s Mississippi and Indiana! 👉🏻👉🏻
