Four days of classes at @sewexpo and every one sold out 😳 I had such a great time with everyone, but honestly so glad to be home for a couple weeks! It’s Thursday, so there are new states for the Quarter Millennial Quilt. We’re also in Puyallup, so the local Starbucks was our office. 🤣 This week it’s Mississippi and Indiana! 👉🏻👉🏻 Sasquatch is coming for us at @sewexpo! 🤣 It was so fun to see folks with the Elemental Coats at the show —thanks to everyone who stopped, said hi, took pics with me, etc. What a wonderful trip this has been. #quiltcon #quiltcoat I picked up some stickers and a badge from @latifahsaafirstudios at QuiltCon, of course. ❤️ @evilolive_quilts gifted me a QuiltCon friendship bracelet and thread conditioner. I’m kinda giddy about the thread conditioner. 😘 #handsewing You might not know I have a slow-growing library of quilt-related children’s books, but I’m always looking to add to it. On the first day of QuiltCon, I had the joy of meeting Tangular Irby and hearing her story about her grandmothers, both Gee’s Bend quilters, and her book “Pearl and her Gee’s Bend Quilt.” I’m so glad i was able to see this exhibition of the Gee’s Bend quilts at the show, learn a little about hand quilting and see the quilts in-person. I’m still really hoping I can make it to an Airing of the Quilts one of these days. #geesbend #kidsquiltbooks One of favorite folks showed up at QuiltCon with a Journeyman Jacket! @quitoquilts treated the pattern for me, helped make it easier and for everyone and was the sole reason I finally got those tutorials done.😂 Can we give her a round of applause for that jacket?! #journeymanjacket pattern by @crinkledreams QuiltCon! Here we come!
