The Sewing Studio in Lubbock brought me down to their shop to teach a two-day Quilt to Coat workshop and I’m so glad they did. We had a group of 12 ladies who brought in vintage quilts, quilted fabric and quilts they’d made, but hadn’t loved. Using the Elemental Coat pattern, each one finished with a new quilt coat to wear home.

It’s so fun for me to see them come together. It’s always a little bit of a surprise, for me and the student! I was particularly pleased with the outcome of one student’s patch pockets and the way it looked when several of them placed their pattern pieces at an angle. It totally changes the look!
I’ll be teaching at a few more places this year and hope to see you out there!
Happy sewing,

P.S. If you’re a shop owner or guild leader, you can find out more about bringing me in to teach.
