Working on a Lone Star (can you guess which state is next 🤣) and that needs accurate cuts, so out came this Stripology ruler. Perfection. 😍 #stripology @gedesignsgudrun The Storm at Sea block got stretched for our #quartermillennialquilt and I finally got to use that cocktail fabric again (vintage @robertkaufman I’ve been holding into). We’re making a modified Michigan block for the #quartermillennialquilt this week. More info on teresacoates.com and tutorial on YouTube. #foundationpaperpiecing I’ll be teaching this adorable @rustichorseshoe pattern soon, so I had to make another Raindrop Ragdoll Bear for practice. Made with Cuddle3 and Marshmallow Cuddle from @shannonfabrics and a tiny bit of linen for his shorts. 😍 #makeyourownstuffedanimals #teddybear Maine got a simplified Mariner’s Compass block because it’s only 6” x6”. #quartermillennialquilt #skillbuilder We took a trip on the Ozark Trail for the Arkansas block. I mixed it up with over-cutting, trimming, fpp, and nesting seams. #quartermillennialquilt #skillbuilder Hawke has been working like crazy in painting, reorganizing, building furniture, etc for the new filming studio and I am so excited! So many plans for the year—tutorials, workshops, lives—all coming up soon. On this International Women’s Day, I’d like to introduce you to my Aunt Diana. She has influenced me and my perspective on Independence more than she could know. She travelled the world, bringing back trinkets from her trips to Europe, Egypt, Mexico. She accompanied me (and mom and sisters) on our first international trip to Canada when I was 16. She showed me that women can be strong, career-minded, independent, curious and travel as much as they want to. This week, she drove herself up from Sacramento to celebrate my dad/her brother’s birthday with us. She has the best stories of adventures. She inspires me to keep exploring, learning and doing more. I’m so grateful to have spent so much time with her for so many summers; it changed me in all the right ways. We’re doing Illinois this week and I’m tickled pink that I found this little Lincoln on some old @alexanderhenryfabrics (🙏🏻RIP) to use for the center of my log cabin. 😍#quartermillennialquilt 🪡
