Things are changing

So after six months of working primarily on Crinkle Dreams, along with few other small-time gigs, I’ve landed a full-time position that melds me love of sewing and writing. How awesome is that?! If you gotta work, it might as well be doing something you love.

The time away from the sewing studio means that I have to be lot choosier about what I spend my time doing while I am there. I get to be choosier about what I will be doing there. I’m sure I’ll be making more clothes for me (including this fan-freakin-tastic Rooibos dress from Colette Patterns) and definitely more baby quilts, custom work when it comes in and lovely patterns I’ve dreamt of making otherwise.

And just one little gripe… I hate it when the USPS loses things. I use them for most everything I ship (excluding international) and 99.9% of the time, it works. But this week they lost a wallet. Luckily I still have some of the fabrics and can make the customer a new one, but it irritates me that someone got a free wallet and the nice lady who ordered from me has to wait an extra week to get hers. Grr.

I’m grateful for the sunshine peaking in through my bedroom window and eager to get some thing crossed off that to-do list before the new job starts on Monday.

  1. Hi Teresa,
Thanks for the link back to my blog.  It would have been nice to be asked before you reposted my picture.  It’s just nice to know when people like what I do enough to repost about it.  But thanks again for giving attribution.

    Happy sewing!
    Megan
