It’s Giveaway Day!

I nearly forgot it was Sew, Mama, Sew’s Giveaway Day, but thank social media for the reminder! (I knew it was good for something..)

full_6225_203059_Mirthapaperpiecedwallquilt_3In the holiday spirit, I’m giving away a PDF copy of my Mirth wall quilt pattern! It uses 9 different fabrics to create a nine-block quilt. The full-size paper piecing template is included (you’ll make some copies of it) for easy and precise piecing.

All you have to do is leave me a comment telling me something you’d like to learn about sewing and quilting in 2017.  I want to know what you want to know. Maybe I can help you learn or maybe it’s something I want to learn, too!

And then head back to Sew, Mama, Sew to see what else people are giving away today!

The awesome quilting I see online lets me know I have so much more to learn about quilting design. I do want to make that a goal in 2017.

I would like to have a step by step guide on how to put in a zipper for 2017. It’s can be hard. Seems like more and more of us are making zipper pouches. I would like to be one of them. Thank you for being a part of the SMS Giveaway and giving us the chance to become a winner. There is nothing like seeing a package in your mail box and knowing that is belongs to you from the SMS Giveaway makes it so special you want to do the Happy Dance. Wishing you Happy Holidays.

Such a nice pattern! I would like to learn how to get better at applique. I do it by machine, but just not that happy with my results.

I would love to master basting quilts more efficiently. It seems to always take me too long and the tape pulls away. Such a frustrating but a necessary process.

Mirth is gorgeous (congratulations!). I have been wanting to try EPP for a couple of years and I think 2017 could be the year.

Great pattern 🙂 I think I would like to get better at choosing solids so when I make an all solid quilt it doesn’t look flat

I want to tackle making zippered pouches. I have some cut, but I haven’t made the leap to start it. Also the same with messenger bags. I have some cut, but haven’t built up the courage to start in. Thanks for the giveaway!

I would like to become a better machine quilter. I tend to use meander and straight line quilting. Seeing the amazing quilts out there inspires me to try some new things in the coming year.

I love the colors you used! I’m a beginning quilter, so the next thing I’d like to tackle is paper-piecing!

I really like your pattern. Let’s see old blocks new ways is always a great one or FMQ is helpful. Anything with sprirals, curves or circles.

2017 is the year I am going to try my hand at paper piecing. I love seeing the results everyone else seems to get–those perfect points! So it’s time for me to be brave and give it a go.

Great pattern! My wishlist for next year is to learn photo transfer and tree motion on my little home sewing machine. Wish me luck!

I want to spend more time working on applique — I’d like to learn to do it by hand. I’m not sure I want to all that often, but sometimes it’s the best option and I wish I could get better results when I do try to do it.

Thanks for the chance to win your awesome pattern! I would like to learn how to pull prints from different collections and make them match. I usually end up buying someone else’s bundles.

I have never paper pieced before, so maybe that should be my goal! Otherwise I would like to work on my free motion quilting skills.

This is a beautiful quilt pattern!! 🙂 I am going to try hand quilting in 2017 (I meant for it to happen in 2016…but surely 2017 will be the year!).

I’m very new to quilting (I’m trying to get my second quilt finished for Christmas) so advancing my quilting skills this next year would be great (but I’m also having my second baby in February so we’ll see how that goes). I haven’t tried paper piecing yet, but would like to!

Very pretty quilt pattern. I would like to be better at paper-piecing and to learn more about applique. Quilts that are made with these techniques are so pretty and someday my dream is to be good at these also. Thank you for being a part of the SMS Giveaway and giving us this chance to become a winner. Wishing you Happy Holidays.
