I always wanted to be someone who could draw, but those skills passed me right by and even my stick figures are pretty lame.
Instead, I took up sewing and at 10 years old my mom taught me the basics. From there it took off and despite a few dry years when I didn’t sew much, it’s been my main creative outlet. I love working with fabrics of all sorts and am a sucker for textural cloths like corduroy and dupioni. Lately I’ve been pretty enamored with patchwork and have been happily mixing fabrics of all sorts.
